Committed to Making Dreams Come True for Children Facing Serious Medical Challenges

Dreams Come True brings joy and lasting memories to children diagnosed with illnesses throughout Northeast Florida and its surrounding counties. Founded on the belief that every child deserves a moment of happiness, Dreams Come True focuses on easing the emotional and physical burdens that come with undergoing intense medical treatments such as chemotherapy, surgeries, and extended hospital stays. With compassion at its core, the organization dedicates 100 percent of all donations directly to fulfilling the heartfelt dreams of these children.

Each dream is as unique as the child it serves. Whether it’s a trip to Disney, a relaxing cruise, a day of shopping with loved ones, or meeting a personal hero, Dreams Come True provides a glimmer of light, happiness, and hope.

Physicians, guardians, or parents can make referrals. To qualify, children must be between the ages of 2½ and 18, have a documented life-threatening medical condition, be medically cleared to participate, and not have received service from another wish-granting organization.

Hosting Fun Filled Events During The Holiday Season

In addition to individual dream experiences, Dreams Come True offers seasonal and community-based programs. Their annual holiday programs provide families with dinner baskets, and the organization’s Holiday Adoption and Toy Drive ensures children receive meaningful gifts during the holiday season. Each Halloween, the organization also collaborates with local businesses and community partners to host a fun-filled “Trunk or Treat” event, welcoming over 250 children for a safe and joyful celebration.

Dreams Come True further expands its reach through the Kaye’s Kids initiative, which provides dream gifts such as games, electronics, playsets, recreational items, sponsorships, treats, party decorations, and meals to more than 180 children in the region.

Empowering Children Through Education

Recognizing the long-term aspirations of the children it serves, Dreams Come True established the Moore Scholarship in 2020 to support dream recipients who are pursuing higher education or career training. Open to youth under the age of 24, this scholarship has awarded over 100 recipients with financial aid ranging from $1,000 to $2,000.

Eligible applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA (or a 2.5 GPA in college), have previously received a dream through the program, and be enrolled in high school, college, graduate school, or a vocational institution. This initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to not only fulfilling dreams in the present but also empowering children to realize their future potential.
