Delivering Resources to the Spina Bifida Community

Founded in 1973, Spina Bifida of Jacksonville has been a source of support and advocacy for individuals and families affected by spina bifida in Northeast Florida. Spina bifida, a congenital disability affecting more than 166,000 Americans, presents a range of medical and social challenges. Recognizing these realities, Spina Bifida of Jacksonville offers assistance with medical reimbursements, educational resources, community events, and advocacy initiatives.

Opening Doors to Greater Mobility

Beyond direct services, the organization places a strong emphasis on community involvement and charitable giving. Through generous donations and fundraising efforts, Spina Bifida of Jacksonville can expand its outreach and enhance the independence of those it serves.

One notable initiative is the "Love What Drives You" campaign, which helps provide vehicle modifications for individuals living with spina bifida. These modifications, such as hand controls, ramps, and enhanced steering equipment, open the door to greater mobility, independence, and community connection.

Mission Statement

Our goal is to create a network of support for local families. Spina Bifida of Jacksonville strives to advocate for, educate, and serve patients and families whose lives have been impacted by Spina Bifida.
