Dining With Dignity

Offering food and support programs for individuals and families.

Providing Nutritious Meals for Those Experiencing Food Insecurity

Originally known as The Church of St. Ambrose, this historic institution has transformed into Our Lady of Good Counsel. Throughout its rich history, the church has been a cornerstone of the community, offering spiritual guidance and support to its members while actively engaging in various outreach initiatives.

In line with its commitment to community service, Our Lady of Good Counsel prepares meals for individuals facing food insecurity and other hardships. This event brings together volunteers from the congregation and the surrounding area and addresses the urgent need for nutritious meals while fostering a spirit of fellowship and compassion among participants.

Fostering a Welcoming Environment That Extends Beyond the Kitchen

To combat food insecurity further, Our Lady of Good Counsel operates a dedicated food pantry, providing essential food options for individuals and families experiencing financial difficulties.

The food pantry has regular hours, operating on the third Sunday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This convenient time allows families to visit after Sunday services, enabling them to participate in spiritual and community support activities. During these hours, clients are greeted warmly and assisted in selecting food items that suit their needs.

By offering these flexible hours, Our Lady of Good Counsel aims to accommodate the diverse schedules of community members, making it easier for families to access the required food assistance. Beyond merely providing sustenance, the monthly meal preparation efforts create a supportive atmosphere that strengthens community ties. Participants have the opportunity to connect, share stories, and build relationships that extend beyond the kitchen.
