Child Protection

Child Protection includes practices and services aimed at preventing abuse and harm to children, serving as both a social service and a community resource. Child Protection systems investigate reports of potential harm, evaluate the situation to determine if a child is at risk, and develop a case plan. Following this assessment, they offer services to parents and caregivers, including counseling, intervention, referrals, legal assistance, reunification support, and options for placement or adoption of a child.
