Addressing Solutions for Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Homelessness Prevention
Founded in 2013, Flagler Cares supports individuals and families in need throughout Flagler County and Volusia County, facilitated through their partnership with One Voice for Volusia. The organization is committed to addressing social issues by providing resources to improve the health and well-being of its communities. Flagler Cares promotes public health by focusing on mental health, substance abuse, social services, and homeless prevention.
The organization partners with several local entities, including the Volusia County Coalition for the Homeless, United Way, and other organizations committed to enhancing public health and wellness. These partnerships enable Flagler Care to expand its reach and effectiveness, pooling resources and expertise to address the multifaceted challenges community members face.
Employing Evidence-Based Practices to Help Clients Access Treatment
Flagler Cares offers a range of key programs, including the Coordinated Opioid Recovery (CORe) initiative, which focuses on providing comprehensive support for individuals struggling with opioid addiction. CORe employs evidence-based practices to help clients access treatment, navigate recovery options, and connect with resources that support long-term sobriety.
In addition to CORe, Flagler Cares provides Behavioral Health services for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. These services include counseling, therapy, and support groups promoting emotional well-being and resilience.
Navigating the Complexities of Health Insurance
Another area of support offered by Flagler Cares is Health Insurance Assistance. Navigating the complexities of health insurance can be overwhelming, especially for those in vulnerable situations. Flagler Cares helps clients understand their options, enroll in appropriate plans, and access necessary medical care without the burden of excessive financial stress.
