Welcoming Visitors to Step Back in Time
The Peña-Peck House, a representation of colonial architecture and 18th-century life, is among the many historic treasures of St. Augustine. Constructed in 1750, this landmark initially served as the home of Juan Estevan de Peña, the royal Spanish Treasurer, who occupied it with his family.
Today, the Peña-Peck House invites visitors to return in time through its immersive historical tours and educational programs. As guests walk through its rooms, they experience glimpses into colonial-era daily life and learn about the Spanish, British, and American influences that shaped the region. The house also hosts special events that bring the history of St. Augustine to life, from reenactments and seasonal gatherings to lectures on local history and colonial craftsmanship.
Bringing People of All Ages Together for a Unique Experience
In addition to tours and programs, the Peña-Peck House features a gift shop where visitors can find mementos and locally crafted goods. Managed by the Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine, this historic site is a preservation of the past and a community treasure.
