This diverse and inclusive organization recognizes many different cultures, beliefs, and lifestyles that make up the families it serves, fostering an environment built on teamwork, respect, and integrity.
Initially chartered in Jacksonville and officially opened in 1966, the Boys & Girls Club has grown significantly over the decades. It provides programs that support education, personal development, and community engagement. Since its inception, the organization expanded its reach throughout Florida, empowering more than 5,200 children annually.
Equipping Students for Success and Leadership through Various Initiatives
Today, it continues to serve as a crucial pillar of support for local communities, positively impacting the lives of countless youth. The Boys & Girls Club offers a variety of specialized programs that address different aspects of a child’s growth. Among these is The Keystone Club, which focuses on developing leadership skills and civic engagement. The Youth for Unity program promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion by encouraging children to appreciate different perspectives. Project Learn provides academic support and tutoring, helping students enhance their learning outside the classroom.
Career Launch prepares older youth for future success by equipping them with essential job readiness skills. The Digital Arts Program introduces participants to creative fields such as animation, game design, and graphic arts. At the same time, the Athletic Sports League promotes physical fitness, sportsmanship, and overall well-being through various sports activities. With these diverse programs, the Boys & Girls Club continues to inspire, guide, and equip children for a brighter future.
