St. Augustine Center For Living

A supportive facility assisting adults with disabilities.

Offering a Haven for Individuals Seeking Stability and Serenity

St. Augustine Center for the Living is a longstanding institution that provides safe, supportive housing and comprehensive care for adults with disabilities. Established in the 1980s, the center has consistently served as a sanctuary for individuals seeking a stable environment to develop life skills. The facility’s dedicated team of professionals—including managers, medical practitioners, behavioral trainers, and support staff—works tirelessly to ensure that each resident receives care and attention.

Empowering Individuals to Develop Life Skills

Residents participate in daily routines that include hygiene practices, chores, and other responsibilities within the facility. These activities help individuals build life skills and instill a sense of personal responsibility and achievement, contributing to their overall well-being.

The center comprises four cottages, providing a home-like atmosphere for its residents. These cottages collectively house 60 individuals—15 women and 45 men—and are equipped with shared amenities such as laundry areas, kitchens, and communal living spaces. The layout of each cottage encourages social interaction and community building among residents, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.

Mission Statement

Our goal is to provide each resident with the opportunity to attain as much personal independence and self-reliance as possible in the least restrictive environment, thus assuring that each resident reaches his/her maximum functioning potential.
